TI Nepal launched the’ Integrity in Post- Earthquake Reconstruction and Rehabilitation’ (IPERR) program in Dolakha on 9th March 2017. Dolakha is one of the most affected districts from the April 2015 earthquake. TI- Nepal intends to monitor reconstruction activities in the 14 most affected districts. A team led by President Shree Hari Aryal launched the program with the participation of NRA, Bhimeshwor Municipality, media, political parties, NGO/INGOs and other stakeholders. On the same day, grievance collection on reconstruction works was organized in Bhimeshwor Municipality. Around 98 grievances were collected from the earthquake victims relating to housing grants, banking procedures, delay in second installment, missing names etc. A meeting was held between officials of the Municipality, DAO, political parties and TI Nepal to review the grievances for redressal as soon as possible. Prior to the events, a Volunteer Orientation was held on 8th March 2017 involving 9 students from Gaurishankhar College and Kalinchowk Higher Secondary School. In a separate function held on 10th March, district level findings of the “Public Service Delivery survey 2073” (with special reference to education and local development) was also released by President Aryal amongst the stakeholders.
