The Worldwide Governance Indicator (WGI) is a project  carried out by the World Bank from 1996-2013 which reports on aggregate and individual governance indicators. WGI reports on six broad dimension of governance of 215 countries and territories. The six dimensions are i)  Voice and Accountability, ii) Political Stability and No Violence, iii) Government Effectiveness, iv)Regulatory Quality, v) Rule of Law, and vi) Control of Corruption. The WGI compromises of governance indicators based on 30 different data sources, which is reported as a percentile score or rank. Percentile ranks indicate the percentage of countries worldwide that rank lower than the indicated country and higher values indicate better governance.
